Sod turning of Moubana high mast light project
The Infrastructure and Technical Services Portfolio Committee of Moses Kotane Local Municipality is currently embarking on a series of community engagements through sod turning of projects in various villages.
On Thursday, 21 January 2016, sod turning ceremony for Moubana High Mast light project was held at the local community hall and graced by the presence of Kgosi Justice Sefanyetso of Bataung Bo Selale Tribal Administration.
The supply and installation of high mast lights project will benefit three villages as below:
- 7 High mast lights for Uitkyk village
- 6 High mast lights for Koffiekraal Village
- 5 High mast lights for Moubana Village
Sod turning ceremonies are led by the Portfolio Head of Infrastructure and Technical Services, Clr Ezekiel Mashimo who highlighted the importance of participating in community meetings. “Our main objective of conducting sod turning ceremony is to formally inform you of the new project in your village, introduce the contractor of service delivery projects to you as the beneficiaries of the projects and to establish Project Steering Committee that is inclusive of the representative from the Tribal Council,” said Clr Mashimo.
