Official Handover and Opening of Moubana Community Hall

Moubana / Ga-Sefanyetso was a buzz on Thursday 25th February 2016. Setsokotsane was in the village – Official Handover / Opening of Community Hall ceremony was the first activity of day. The ceremony was attended by multitudes from the village.

Clr Mashimo from Moses Kotane Local Municipality (MKLM) was officiating. It commenced with a Prayer and Welcome by Kgosi Sefanyetso. Clr Stephina Mashishi (MKLM) and Mme Legodi (BBS Traditional Council) introduced the dignitaries from MKLM and Bataung Boo Selale Traditional Council (BBS Traditional Council) respectively.

The ceremony was also attended members of Bakwena Ba Modimosana Traditional Council.

Key note address was by MKLM Mayor Clr Fetsang Mokati-Thebe. She started by thanking everyone for a big turnout in her Key note address. She explained the purpose of Setsokotsane program: It is Bokone Bophirima Provincial Government initiative to accelerate government’s delivery to the people. Every Thursday and Friday Provincial Government’s leaders take time out of office to visit the communities to understand their daily challenges and accelerated on improving people’s lives. She urged parents and children to take care of the hall, follow the available procedures for a request of hall usage and not to destroy the hall when the community is frustrated.

The Hall belongs to morafe not the Government or Traditional Council.
